Winchester “white box” ammunition is economy priced without
the economy performance. This .40 S&W load, suitable for Smith & Wesson
M&Ps, Sig P229s, or Kahr P40s, fires a light 165 grain full metal jacket
bullet at a high muzzle velocity of 1060 feet per second. Each round in this
box of 50 uses Boxer-plated reloadable brass casings.
Founded in 1855 as Winchester Repeating Arms, Winchester has a long and storied history of producing iconic weapons and ammo including the Model 70, a longtime favorite of hunters and snipers the world over, and the Model 94, a modern lever-action rifle still going strong after 120 years. While Winchester firearms are now licensed-produced by FN and Browning, the company continues to live up to its reputation in the ammo business. Winchester’s Ranger and Silvertip hollow points remain perennial favorites among users of jacketed hollow points, and its new PDX1 load became the duty ammo of the FBI and Border Patrol in 2011.
