Details
Winchester Ranger ammunition is tough stuff made for the bravest of law enforcement. Now available for private citizens, this 40 S&W Winchester Ranger ammo comes equipped with nickel-plated brass casings, Boxer-primers, and bonded 165gr jacketed hollow point projectiles. Winchester’s bonded 165gr JHP is designed to explode into 6 petal expanded mushroom shape while dumping tons of energy into the target. During testing with a 4” barrel, these projectiles generated an average muzzle velocity of 1140 fps with 476 ft/lbs of matching energy.
Winchester’s bonded JHP bullets are designed to penetrate barriers like windshields, walls, and thick clothing while still maintaining enough energy to be effective on the other side. This is crucial for law enforcement who may need to fire on a violent offender evading capture and it is especially helpful to a private citizen protecting themselves inside the home. Chamber checks are easier due to the highly visible nickel-plated brass casings. The casings are extremely resistant to corrosion, new-production, and reloadable.
