Details
This 40 S&W cartridge from Remington’s Golden Saber Bonded line of ammunition features a 165 grain jacketed hollow point projectile. The jacket’s nose is cut completely through to promote expansion up to well over 1.5 times the bullet’s original diameter, and the nose cuts are arranged in a spiral pattern to create large cutting petals as well as reduce the nose cavity for optimized mush performance. Because the bullet’s jacket is made of cartridge brass rather than copper gilding metal, it is thick and stiff enough to release substantially more energy on impact over longer distances. The jacket is thoroughly bonded the bullet’s core to promote practically 100 percent weight retention, letting it penetrate targets fast and deeply -- even auto glass will provide virtually no impediment to its performance.
This cartridge is especially suited for use in low-light environments thanks to its brass casing’s nickel plating, which makes it more visible during quick chamber checks. With its Boxer primer the casing is fully reloadable as well, so you can keep 500 of these rounds in play for a very long time.
