Details
This 40 S&W cartridge from Remington’s Golden Saber line of ammunition sports a 165 grain hollow point projectile. The bullet’s jacket is thicker and stiffer than that of other bullets because it is made of cartridge brass rather than copper gilding metal, allowing it to release more energy over longer distances. The jacket is additionally cut through to promote expansion to over 1.5 times the bullet’s original diameter, and has cuts in its nose arranged in a spiral pattern to create larger petals on impact. This bullet’s practically 100 percent weight retention gives it remarkable penetration, and indeed is undeterred even by tough barriers that it should have to travel through en route to its target. In short, the Golden Saber bullet is hard to top when it comes to personal protection.
This round also features a nickel plated Boxer primed brass casing. The shiny nickel makes chamber checks easier in low light environments, and facilitates feeding and ejection as well. The casing is perfect for handloading, so 500 of these rounds constitute an excellent long-term investment in your handgun.
