Details

Federal Ammunition’s Power-Shok .410 bore 2-1/2 inch rifled slugs pack a punch, and are a fantastic choice for hunting medium or large game. With a muzzle velocity of 1775 fps and weighing in at 1/4 ounce, these slugs offer an ideal blend of precision and stopping power. While they are designed for use in smooth bore shotguns, they can also be used with a rifled bore or choke.

Federal’s TruBall slug design keeps the slug centered when fired, allowing for greater accuracy down-range; it is a hollow-point slug too, delivering higher energy transfer—762 ft. lbs.—and greater lethality. These cartridges can be used in a Judge as well, and serve well if you encounter a wild hog while hunting.

Located in Anoka, Minnesota, Federal Premium Ammunition has been producing high-quality shotshells, rimfire ammunition and centerfire ammunition since 1916. Federal has been the preferred ammunition of Olympians, The Army & Navy—during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War—and U.S. law enforcement. These .410 bore hollow point rifled slugs deliver the quality and reliability that has become synonymous with Federal Premium Ammunition for nearly a century.

A: Sorry sir, but Federal Premium does not disclose that information. They may even load this ammunition with one of multiple different types of powder depending on which powder is available to them at any given moment.
