Details
If you have a newly manufactured rifle that's rated to handle full pressure ammunition, then check out these .45-70 Government loads from Remington for your next big game hunting trip. Each of these rounds is made using a reloadable brass casing that is equipped with a non-corrosive Boxer primer at its a base. A carefully measured amount of propellant is nested inside the casing and provides the round with potent fuel for excellent ballistics at long range. At the top of the round rests a 300-grain semi-jacketed hollow point (SJHP) projectile which has two measures to prevent jostling and setback; the bullet's toothed cannelure serves as the main crimp point while the brass casing has a second crimp lightly established at the base of the round.
This arrangement not only reduces the chance of a malfunction caused by recoil or rough-handling but ensures the consistent accuracy of follow-up shots. This SJHP bullet has a strong copper half-jacket, a flat nose of an exposed lead, and a deep hollow cavity. The flattened tip allows for safe storage in the tubular magazines of lever-action rifles while the naked hollow cavity guarantees rapid expansion upon impact with a game target. As the bullet travels into the chest cavity of a moose or elk, the bullet's controlled rate of expansion will help it penetrated through thicker layers before fully expanding in the vital organs; this will create a large cavity, promote faster bleeding, and deliver an incredible shock to the internals for a more humane hunt.
