Details
This 45 ACP cartridge by Fiocchi sports a 230 grain XTP bullet by Hornady. Its manufacturer touts this bullet as having all the qualities that would be favored by self-defense experts and law enforcement officials, but with the pinpoint accuracy that would satisfy a competitive shooter to boot. This round’s bullet features a swaged lead core, which has uniformity conducive both to balanced expansion and in-flight stability. Its drawn gilding metal jacket serves to smoothen feeding, facilitate penetration, and control the expansion as provided by the hollow point. The jacket also covers the bullet’s base, which very nicely keeps the lead inside of the bullet instead of letting it enter your lungs as gas. This is a bullet that will provide great stopping power even at lower velocities -- with its muzzle velocity of 900 fps, however, it’s absolutely jaw dropping.
In addition to its feature laden bullet, this cartridge offers the premium powder, primer, and brass casing that has made Fiocchi a popular go-to among the shooting community. A box of these will make for three very happy 1911 magazines, plus one for your chamber.

Q: The box says 230 grain, but the website details says 200 grain. I assume the box is right?
