The whole point of the round is to offer a better shooting experience with none of the potential drawbacks of normal lead based rounds. Instead of having a lead base on the bottom of a jacketed projectile, and allowing the hot powder burn to actually come in contact with lead (causing fumes and particulate to get airborne), they encapsulate the base of the round.
