The .45 Auto has been around for over 100 years. The United States military used the Colt M1911/M1911A1 pistol from Colt chambered for .45 until 1986. "Hardball" is the slang term used to describe full metal jacket pistol ammunition, and no round is more synonymous with the term than the 230 grain full metal jacket .45 ACP.

Q: Does the brass case use a large or small pistol primer? What's the velocity in feet per second leaving the barrel?
Posted On: 8/15/2017 By: Tom
A: Hello Tom, I am not sure on the size of the primer, from the pic it look like a large pistol primer. The velocity of the cartridge is 890 FPS.
