Details

There is a very specific purpose for this 5.56x45 ammunition: plinking, basic range shooting and messing around. The Igman bulk 1000 round case is a NATO round made by an old school maker based in the area that used to be called Yugoslavia (present day Bosnia/Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia). It’s not the highest quality manufacture by American Standards but offers a very compelling price point and is at least a good quality of manufacture. This is not to take anything away from the company who makes it, a 60+ year old ammo manufacturer, simply to state that it’s not been proven one way or the other in the American shooting public.

Europeans have been using Igman ammunition for far longer than the United States has, and there is a good value associated with the brand. In the end, ammunition is ammunition. Components are components. They either work or they do not. Igman has been in business for more than 60 years and is growing. Their American focused production has all the tell-tale signs that it has been produced properly, and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive for the load. For a 55 grain FMJ 5.56x45 load, the price is exceptional. That gives most shooters a lot of room to play around with when evaluating an ammo.
