American-made AR Food! The Federal American Eagle 5.56 X 45 55 grain full metal jacket is the golden standard for brass-cased 5.56 ammunition. Made to the exacting standards of NATO and the American military, these rounds are designed to be as accurate and reliable as possible. These 55-grain, reloadable brass-cased, boxer-primed rounds are perfect for a day at the range or your next varmint hunt. Brass discoloration on the shell casings comes from a process called annealing, which ensures strength of the casing. The federal government requires this visibility discoloration which lets them—and you--know it is quality ammunition.
Federal Ammunition is synonymous with American-made quality, as they have been a leading ammunition manufacturer since 1922. These 5.56 rounds are manufactured to military specs, run at much higher pressure than that of a standard 0.223 round and should only be used in firearms capable of handling these pressures. This case includes 600 rounds in 4x150 round boxes.
