If you've ever had to work with the light 55 grain rounds that are typically loaded in .223 rifles, you understand why marksmen tend to stray away from 5.56 caliber bullets. NATO realized this issue, and came up with the M855 load standard to remedy the concern. Also known as SS109, this load is being offered today by ZQI. The heavier 62 grain bullet travels slower than its M193 counterpart, but is more accurate at distance, and will allow hunters and marksman alike to hone in their long range shooting skills.
This bulk ZQI 5.56x45 ammo weigh in at 62 grains and produce 1,239 foot pounds of muzzle energy. They travel downrange at 3,000 feet per second, and their boxer-primed brass is safe for reuse. The rounds come packaged in ZQI branded cardstock boxes, with 30 rounds in each box. This case contains 40 boxes of ammo.
