Details
This Black hills 5.56 ammo is loaded with Barnes TSX (triple shock-x) projectiles making this a great choice for hunting with your AR or for personal defense. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of approximately 3,000 feet per second, the all copper Barnes bullet is well known as a great performing projectile that reliably expands at a wide range of terminal velocities into its signature four-sharp edged copper petals. This bullet design is great for making quick, humane kills of game while simultaneously reducing barrel fouling.
Black Hills has a number of government contracts with the spec-ops community and knows that dependability is paramount when someone's life is on the line. Black Hills uses military grade ammo cases with the annealing evidence left on to conform to military visual inspection requirements. This ammo is sealed at the primer pocket as well as the case mouth to mitigate the chance of water damaging the powder. This ammo has crimped and sealed primers and of course this ammo is reloadable.

Q: Is this ammo suitable for an indoor shooting range?
Posted On: 7/8/2020 By: JOHN STEM
A: Hi John! If the range bans magnetic ammo, then this cartridge would comply with its rules perfectly. Its bullet is made of pure copper. That said, this is a hunting cartridge – you may not wish to pay for terminal performance that you're not going to need. Might I suggest this 223 Rem ammo by PMC instead? Its bullet is made of copper alloy and lead, so it's similarly nonmagnetic while at the same time a lot easier on the wallet: bulkammo.com/bulk-223-ammo-223rem55grfmjbt223abppmc-200. (If your rifle is chambered for 5.56, then it can run 223 as well – but not vice versa.)
