When I bought my AK 47, I bought TulAmmo and Wolf ammo, to put it through its paces and had problems with both and while this ammo is basically wolf ammo, it is a bit higher quality, though once again, it is Russian so it is fairly dirty.
I have no evidence, but I'm pretty sure the bullet is is steel cored.
The Lacquered sealing that is put on this case makes it well suited for long term storage, which I plan on storing half my next order.

I bought 1,000 rounds and have shot over 500 rounds in two shooting sessions. Not 1 misfire or jam! The ammo is a bit dirty, but that is why you clean your gun. My AK literally shoots the shells about 10-12 feet in the air and I can get about 6-8 shells in the air at once. Love the ammo and will buy again soon. (Posted on 2/9/2016)

These 123gr. FMJ rounds by Wolf in 7.62x39 do have a steel case and often a bi-metal jacket so they will attract a magnet. For ranges that don't allow magnetic rounds, your best bet is a brass cased round.
