Details
This soft-point ammunition is ideal for use in bolt-action
rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm such as the CZ 527M. The 123 grain soft point travels
at an above-average 2640 feet per second, and its design promotes expansion for
effective game kills. Due to the bullet design, this round may not feed
properly in AK and AR pattern rifles.
Prvi Partizan is Serbia's top ammunition manufacturer. In business since 1927, the company employs nearly a thousand people in its longtime home of Uzice. Until 1935, the company was housed in a military barracks and worked extensively on building and refurbishing military rifles. Other products included guns and ammo for hunters. During World War II, the company's production lines, concealed in other facilities, engaged in clandestine production of weapons to arm Yugoslav resistance fighters (partisans) in combat against Nazi occupation forces. After the war, the company became state-owned and gained its present name, Prvi Partizan, in recognition of its contribution to the resistance. In 1998, six years after the fall of communist Yugoslavia, the company reverted to the private enterprise structure under which it operates today.
The company has found great success in the 21st century, exporting millions of cartridges all over the world from its three ammunition plants. The company makes ammo for 400 different cartridge types. For some gun owners, the Prvi Partizan name simply signifies good ammo at good prices; however, for many vintage guns chambered for older cartridges, Prvi Partizan represents the only source of new, high quality factory production.
