9mm ammunition was developed more than 100 years ago by Georg Luger for use in handguns. It has since been used in multiple platforms including revolvers, handguns of course, rifles, and submachine guns. The 9mm cartridge has many names and variations including 9mm Luger, 9mm, 9x19 Luger, 9x19mm, 9mm Parabellum, and 9mm NATO. The 9mm NATO round is used in over 70 countries and has been loaded in a lot of different bullet weights. It is also the standard handgun cartridge of other non-NATO countries. The loadings known to be used in various NATO countries range from 108 grain bullets to 128 grain bullets.

These Winchester 9mm NATO rounds are loaded for use by our soldiers and are currently in use over-seas. These rounds feature a Full Metal copper Jacketed 124 grain lead core bullet that’s loaded into a Military Spec, heavy-walled, non-corrosive, reloadable, Boxer primed brass cases. They have a Muzzle energy of 358-foot pounds and their 1140 feet per second muzzle velocity is a significant speed for any 9mm round. These loads are Made in The USA and packed into 50 round Winchester White Box packaging. Grab yourself a couple boxes to shoot in your NATO spec pistols today.

NOTE: The 9mm NATO is considered an OVER PRESSURE Variant of the 9mm Luger or 9x19mm round by SAAMI Specs. Caution is advised when using these rounds on all your handguns. Please check with your handguns' manufacturer for design specifications.

A: Hello Jerry! The Security-9 is designed to handle significantly higher chamber pressures than 9mm NATO is capable of producing. This ammo will function correctly in your firearm for sure. Do take note that 9mm NATO and more powerful 9mm +P are both safe to fire in a Security-9, although their higher chamber pressures will accelerate wear on a semi-auto pistol's moving parts. That is absolutely not a concern as far as a single box of ammo is concerned, but you may prefer to preserve your pistol by favoring regular 9mm ball ammo in the future.
