As with many manufacturers, they take this type of ammunition's quality very seriously as they know that one day you may depend your life on it. The case is made of nickel plated brass which is ideal for feeding reliability and corrosion resistance. This cartridge will have slightly more recoil than a standard pressure round, but will travel at around 1200 feet per second and generate 396 foot pounds of energy. When it comes to defensive use you can never go wrong with more power, but you will want to be sure you are accustomed to the recoil as it will be noticeably different than a lighter loaded 124 or 115 grain standard pressure FMJ range round.
