A very good price for Law Enforcement proven 9x19 ammunition that has been built for use by law enforcement, based on the unique needs that law enforcement has, by a manufacturer that has more than 150 years of production ammunition experience. These Winchester Ranger 9mm 147 grain rounds feature the Winchester famous 6 petal jacketed hollow point design that has been proven to provide excellent expansion uniformity.

This ammunition features a Boxer primer, nickel casing and a very high end powder that burns thoroughly and creates less snap in the recoil curve for the normally “poppy” round. The penetration on this ammunition is more than sufficient for the normally somewhat anemic 147 grain projectile. It runs more than 14 inches in 10% gelatin generally. The expansion and lack of jacket cladding separation are way above average for the round too.

Solid numbers out of the barrel of 990 fps velocity and 320 ft. lbs. of energy aren’t the top spot in the 147 grain world, but they are very good. These rounds function, feed and fire in anything that can take the 9mm round and the reliability is proven with the lack of failures to feed, failures to fire and failures to extract that this round has historically shown.
