Woah – whadda great deal! This ammo can was used exactly one time to ship new production ammo domestically. It originally contained linked rounds of 50 BMG ammunition, which were eventually delinked and offered for sale elsewhere. Since then the virtually brand new ammo can has sat in a warehouse where it has been kept safe from moisture and sunlight.

This “like new” ammo can was made for the U.S. government’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. It’s a true mil-spec M2A1 ammo can with seam-welded steel construction that will hold up under terrible conditions and rough usage. The can’s hinged lid shuts tightly so its rubber gasket can properly do its job of sealing out dust and moisture.

This can is an ideal addition to your arsenal whether you want to keep ammo safe during long-term storage or while you’re taking it out to the range or the woods. (The can’s hinged handle makes transporting heavy loads of ammo easy-peasy.) One .50 cal ammo can will hold approximately 1,200 rounds of 5.56x45, 2,200 rounds of 9mm, or 140 12 Gauge shotgun shells.

This can may have original military markings that have been spray painted over, as well as cosmetic exterior scratches.
